New York University (NYU) Steinhardt School Depart of Arts and Art Professionals will host a daylong conference and book launch at the Barney Building in New York City from 10 AM- 6PM. Events will include a panel discussion, a variety of break-out workshops, and a book signing. NYU Book Launch & Symposium

The authors of Chapter 9: Embodied methods in online art therapy, Mia de Béthune, Lidice Cohen, and Valeria Koutmina (in a pre-recorded video format) in conversation with chapter editor, Kelley Linhardt (moderator) will discuss embodied practice for conducting telehealth art therapy and virtual reality art tharpy in an in-person panel discussion at the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. The title of the panel is Exploring embodied methods for online and virtual reality art therapy.

Dr. Lee Cohen will be providing a meaningful art therapy workshop designed to educate, inspire, and foster emotional well-being through creative expression. This interactive session will introduce participants to the therapeutic benefits of art while providing a safe, supportive space for reflection, resilience, and connection.
